Élan reuses your Blogger post content in several places, including homepage cards, the slider, listings and single posts. A few content habits make those layouts much more reliable.
Give important posts an image
The homepage slider requires image-bearing posts, and post cards use available post images for their previews. Posts without an image cannot produce the same visual card treatment.
Use a clear opening paragraph
Élan uses the beginning of your post for short previews around the site. A clear opening paragraph usually produces the best summary text.
Blogger image quality on single posts
When a single-post image comes from Blogger’s image hosts, Élan requests a higher-quality Blogger URL where possible. It then caps the rendered width to the image’s natural pixel width so a genuinely small original is not stretched beyond its own dimensions.
Blank editor spacing around images
Élan also reduces unnecessary blank space that Blogger may add around images, helping pictures sit more naturally inside the article.
Practical image advice
- Upload originals large enough for the area where you plan to feature them.
- Use consistent image orientation for a more orderly listing page.
- Keep essential subjects away from the extreme edges because card images are cropped.
- Do not upscale a tiny source image and expect the theme to manufacture missing detail. Software has many sins, but spontaneous photography is not yet one of them.
