Use these checks for common issues that can affect any Millenia Vista theme. If the problem is connected to a feature that belongs to a specific theme, open that theme’s documentation after trying the general steps below.
Start with the simple checks.
Save your changes, refresh the page, and make sure you are editing the correct blog and the correct theme. A surprising number of website mysteries end here, which is both convenient and mildly insulting to technology.
Changes are not showing
- Save the setting or widget again before leaving the page.
- Refresh the public site with a hard refresh: Ctrl + Shift + R on Windows or Cmd + Shift + R on Mac.
- Open the page in a private/incognito window to check whether your browser is showing an older cached version.
- Confirm that you are editing the same blog you are viewing.
The layout looks wrong after installation
- Make sure the complete Millenia Vista theme file was installed successfully.
- Open Blogger → Layout and check that the expected widgets and sections are still present.
- Review the theme’s Quick Start guide before removing or rearranging widgets.
- If you moved from another theme, remove old widgets only after confirming they are not needed by the new theme.
Images look cropped, blurry or missing
- Use clear, reasonably large source images rather than very small thumbnails.
- Make sure the post has an image where the theme expects one.
- If an image was replaced, save the post and refresh the public page.
- For a theme-specific image layout, check that theme’s image guide for the recommended setup.
Navigation or dropdown links are not working
- Check that every menu item points to a valid page, post, label or URL.
- Confirm that the page or label still exists and is published.
- Follow the navigation structure described in your theme’s documentation when creating dropdown levels.
- After editing the menu, save the widget and test both desktop and mobile navigation.
A widget or sidebar is missing
- Open Blogger → Layout and confirm that the widget is still present.
- Check your theme settings to make sure that section is enabled for the page type you are viewing.
- Remember that a sidebar can be enabled on one page type and hidden on another.
- Use the theme-specific sidebar or widget guide if the section still does not appear.
Light or dark mode looks wrong
- Refresh the page and test the mode switch again.
- Open the site in a private/incognito window to rule out an old browser setting.
- Make sure you are using the latest version of the theme.
- If one particular element remains difficult to read, use the theme’s Dark Mode troubleshooting guide.
Before contacting support
Including a few details with your message makes it much easier to find the problem quickly:
- The theme name and version you are using.
- The URL of the page where the issue appears.
- A screenshot of what you see.
- A short description of what you expected to happen.
- The steps you already tried.
WordPress themes: WordPress-specific troubleshooting will be added as Millenia Vista WordPress themes are released.
