Configuring Avellin Theme Options: Sticky Navigation and Sidebars

Use Avellin’s Theme Options widget to control sticky navigation and sidebar visibility separately for each Blogger page type.

Avellin keeps behavioral layout choices in the Theme Options HTML widget in Blogger Layout.

Default Theme Options

sticky-navigation: yes

sidebar-home: no
sidebar-blog: yes
sidebar-post: no
sidebar-page: no
sidebar-category: no
sidebar-search: no
sidebar-archive: no
sidebar-error: no

Sticky navigation

Set sticky-navigation: yes to keep the navigation attached to the top of the viewport while scrolling. Set it to no to make the navigation scroll normally with the page.

Sidebar visibility

Each sidebar-* setting accepts yes or no. This lets you show the sidebar on the Blog page but hide it on posts, pages or category views.

Available page types

  • home – homepage
  • blog – chronological Blog listing
  • post – individual posts
  • page – static pages
  • category – label/category pages
  • search – search results
  • archive – archive pages
  • error – 404 page

Sidebar width

The yes/no visibility is handled here, while the actual sidebar width is controlled separately in Blogger Theme Designer.
