Working with Images and the Roame Lightbox

Use Roame’s image fallbacks, post lightbox and optional wide-media, full-media, image-pair and gallery helpers without breaking responsive layouts.

Roame is designed around travel photography and includes several image features that work automatically.

Missing-image fallback

Supported cards and feature areas show a neutral No preview image state when a usable image is unavailable instead of leaving a broken-image icon.

Post lightbox

Images inside individual post content open in Roame’s built-in lightbox. Readers can move between images and close the viewer without an external lightbox plugin.

Optional layout helpers

mv-media-full for the broadest supported image treatment
mv-image-pair for two images
mv-photo-gallery for a two-column gallery
mv-photo-gallery mv-photo-gallery--three for a three-column gallery

These helpers are responsive and collapse to one column on smaller screens.
