Roame Pre-Launch Checklist

Run through Roame’s navigation, destinations, special travel post formats, homepage features, forms, dark mode and utility pages before launch.

Use this checklist before making the finished Roame site public.

Branding and navigation

Replace the demo site title/logo and description.
Replace every demo social URL.
Open every main navigation link and every dropdown level.
Check the mobile menu and its nested expand controls.

Destinations

Confirm country labels match the Main Navigation and Destinations page.
Open the Destinations Index and test its search and continent filters.
Check that destination cards lead to the expected country archives.

Special travel posts

Open one Essay post and confirm the Photo Essay layout.
Open one Guide post and confirm the “In this guide” links appear when the post has at least two main sections.
Open the Photo Essays and Travel Guides label archives.

Homepage

Check the Welcome Note and Featured Journeys.
Check all four Explore by Destination cards.
Check Latest Stories, Postcard from the Road and the homepage About section.
Submit a newsletter test if you configured a newsletter action.

Pages and sidebar

Open About, Contact and Destinations.
Submit a test message through the native Blogger Contact form.
Visit every page type where you enabled the sidebar.

Reader tools

Test search, dark mode, sharing, comments, previous/next, related posts, image lightbox and back to top.
Visit an incorrect URL and check the 404 page.
Check the Behold Instagram strip if enabled.

Final cleanup

Remove remaining demo copy and placeholder usernames.
Check important links in a private/incognito window.
Keep an untouched copy of the final Roame.xml somewhere safe.
