Setting Up the Arden Optional Sidebar

Configure Arden’s sidebar gadgets and choose exactly which non-homepage routes display them.

Arden includes one optional sidebar with these starter gadgets:

Search
Reader favorites / Popular Posts
Topics / Labels
Archive
Your sidebar content / HTML

Edit the sidebar gadgets

Go to Layout → Optional sidebar and edit, reorder or remove the gadgets you need.

Choose where the sidebar appears

Go to Blogger → Layout, open the Theme options widget, and set the page type where you want the sidebar to yes: blog, post, page, category, search or archive.

The homepage is always full-width. Sidebar items remain available in Layout even when the sidebar is hidden on the published site.
