Mira Vell includes a reader-facing light/dark mode toggle. The theme starts from the visitor’s device preference unless they have already chosen a mode on the site.
What you need to configure
Nothing. Dark mode is built into the theme and uses a coordinated dark palette. It does not add a second set of Theme Designer color controls.
What visitors experience
- The chosen mode is remembered as they move around the site.
- Navigation, search, sidebars, pages and post layouts adapt to the chosen mode.
- Photography and embedded media are not inverted or filtered.
If a custom HTML block has hard-coded light colors, test that block in both modes and remove unnecessary inline colors.
