How Related Posts and Previous/Next Navigation Work in Élan

Understand how Élan builds previous/next post cards and chooses related posts from your Blogger labels.

Élan creates previous/next links and related-post suggestions automatically on individual posts.

Previous and next posts

On an individual post, Élan automatically finds the posts published immediately before and after it.

Related posts are ranked by shared Blogger labels. Posts with labels in common with the current article are more relevant to the related-post selection.

Use labels intentionally

For better related-post results:

Use a consistent set of meaningful labels.
Avoid creating near-duplicate labels such as Travel, travel and Travels.
Give posts more than one useful topical label when appropriate.

If these sections do not appear

Make sure your blog and posts are publicly available. Élan hides these sections when it cannot find enough post information to display them properly.

Customize the design

Use the Single Post Navigation / Related Posts group in Theme Designer to adjust the visual presentation supported by the template.
