Search, Blog, Category and Archive Pages in Avellin

Understand Avellin’s search overlay and the layouts used for chronological Blog, label/category, search and archive views.

Avellin styles Blogger’s main listing views separately so recipe discovery remains consistent across the site.

Search overlay

The navigation search button opens a full-page search panel. Submitting the form uses Blogger’s normal /search?q=... results.

Blog page

The chronological listing uses Blogger’s multiple-item view. A link such as /search?max-results=6 can be used as the Blog destination.

Category pages

Label links such as /search/label/Dinner?max-results=6 use Avellin’s category listing styles. Keep label spelling consistent with your recipe categories.

Archive pages

The sidebar Archive widget provides a month-based dropdown. Archive views use the theme’s listing styles when visited.

Search and SEO behavior

Category pages can appear in search engines, while search-result, archive, error and preview pages are kept out of search results.
