Setting Up Social Links and Icons in Élan

Update the navigation and footer social links and let Élan automatically select the matching social-media icons.

Élan’s social areas use Blogger Link List widgets. Name each link after the social network, such as Instagram or Pinterest, and Élan will show the matching icon automatically.

Navigation social links

Go to Blogger → Layout.
Find Navigation Social Icons.
Edit the Social Links Link List.
Replace the placeholder URLs with your real profile URLs.
Keep the link name as the platform name.

Footer social links

Edit the footer social Link List in the same way. You can use only the networks that are relevant to your site.

Recognized names

Élan includes icon mapping for Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok, Twitter/X, YouTube, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Snapchat, Tumblr, Reddit, WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, Twitch, Spotify, GitHub, Email/Mail and RSS.

If an icon is not recognized

An unknown name falls back to a generic link icon rather than breaking the navigation. Check spelling first if a familiar platform is showing the generic icon.
