The Destinations Index is one of Roame’s main travel features. It groups countries by continent, adds continent filters and search, and can pull a representative image from posts carrying each country label.
Create the page
- In Blogger, create a static Page titled Destinations so the normal URL becomes
/p/destinations.html. - Switch the page editor to HTML view.
- Paste the marker below and publish.
<!--
ROAME DESTINATIONS INDEX
------------------------

2. Switch to HTML view.
3. Paste this block and publish.
4. Keep your Destinations hierarchy in Main Navigation up to date.
-->
<div class="mv-destination-index" data-max-posts="500"></div>
How Roame gets the destinations
When the page marker is otherwise empty, Roame reuses the nested Destinations hierarchy from your Main Navigation. Continents become visual groups and filters; country links become the destination cards.
For example, a navigation structure of Destinations → Europe → Portugal gives Roame the Europe group and the Portugal country label/link.
Country images
For each country, Roame looks at posts with that country’s exact Blogger label and uses the first usable post image it can find. If a country label has no posts, that destination card is shown as unavailable rather than sending readers to an empty archive.
Optional manual source
If you do not want the page to reuse Main Navigation, you can define the continents and countries directly inside the page:
<div class="mv-destination-index" data-max-posts="500">
<div class="mv-destination-source" hidden>
<div data-continent="Europe">
<a data-label="Portugal" href="/search/label/Portugal?max-results=6">Portugal</a>
<a data-label="Spain" href="/search/label/Spain?max-results=6">Spain</a>
</div>
<div data-continent="Asia">
<a data-label="Japan" href="/search/label/Japan?max-results=6">Japan</a>
</div>
</div>
</div>
Keep the mv-destination-index class unchanged. The default maximum is 500 posts and the supported range is capped by the theme.
