Editing the Avellin Seasonal / Editor’s Pick Section

Update the image, title, description and destination used by Avellin’s lower-homepage Seasonal / Editor’s Pick feature.

The Seasonal / Editor’s Pick section is an Image gadget in the lower homepage area.

Edit the section

  1. Go to Layout.
  2. Open Seasonal / Editor’s Pick.
  3. Use the widget title as the feature heading.
  4. Replace the image.
  5. Use the caption for the short description.
  6. Set the link to the post, label or page you want to promote.

What works well here

This section is intentionally editorial. Good uses include a seasonal recipe collection, a kitchen guide, a holiday menu, an ingredient feature or a single post you want to highlight longer than the Featured Recipe.

Theme Designer control

The image height is adjustable in Theme Designer. Keep the text short enough that the two-column layout remains balanced on desktop.
